Mr. Crafty!

Created by Shelley 11 years ago
At a very early age, Matt loved to take EVERYTHING apart, figure out how it worked and then put it back together! His occupation all his adult life has been in the construction business. Matt was an extremely artistic person. He used his artist's soul to become a master cabinet maker. He has worked with wood from the time he was a young teenager. His love was building cabinets and furniture, and for the past several years he created the most magnificent wooden bowls which he sold at holiday craft shows in the Houston area. Matt, above all else, was a gentleman. His best friend and eternal soul-mate was his wife, Shelley. He adored his children and was so very proud of them and his grandchildren. His son became his apprentice and worked right beside him whether it was remodeling or crafting bowls. Matt was a quiet man of FEW words. It was almost as if he communicated telepathically with those he loved. He had the kindest eyes and a very dry sense of humor! Matt loved the outdoors, he loved to fish, loved to kayak, he loved to camp out, and he loved doing all these things with his family. Matthew went home to be with his heavenly Father on October 18th, 2012 at 10:15pm, surrounded by his loving family. He will be sorely missed physically, but he is with us in spirit always!
